We’re Hiring: Visual Communication Designer

Varsha Handicraft is a start-up women’s wear label rooted in Indian craft traditions and focused on slow fashion. We collaborate directly with artisan communities to create thoughtful, handcrafted clothing using natural textiles, hand embroidery, and heritage techniques.

We’re looking for a Visual Communication Designer who is not only skilled but also aligned with our values of sustainability, craft preservation, and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Visual Design & ProductionCreate compelling graphics, illustrations, and layouts for websites, social media, online ads, and marketing materials.
• Translate brand stories into engaging visuals that resonate with targeted audiences.
• Ensure design consistency across all platforms while exploring fresh, creative approaches.

• Video Editing & Visual StorytellingEdit raw footage into polished video content for social media, campaigns, and lookbooks.
• Work with color grading, transitions, sound design, and timing to produce impactful short-form and long-form content.
• Support seasonal campaigns, launches, and artisan stories through video narratives.

• We’re Looking For Someone Who:Has a strong design sense and a passion for visual storytelling.
• Is proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects, etc.).
• Understands the aesthetics of clothing, slow fashion, and handmade products.
• Can collaborate with the brand team to understand the mood and message of each campaign.
• Is open to experimentation, fast-paced tasks, and learning in a start-up environment.
