Varsha Handicraft is a slow fashion brand dedicated to working with artisan communities to create handcrafted women's wear inspired by heritage. As a Visual Communication Designer, you will play a crucial role in bringing our brand stories to life through design and visual storytelling. Your responsibilities will include creating captivating graphics, illustrations, and layouts for various platforms such as websites, social media, online ads, and marketing materials. You will be tasked with translating brand stories into engaging visuals that resonate with our target audiences while ensuring design consistency across all platforms and exploring innovative creative approaches. Additionally, you will be involved in editing raw footage to produce polished video content for social media, campaigns, and lookbooks. Your expertise in color grading, transitions, sound design, and timing will be essential in creating impactful short-form and long-form video content. You will also support seasonal campaigns, launches, and artisan stories through compelling video narratives. The ideal candidate for this role should possess a strong design sense and a passion for visual storytelling. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects, etc.) is required. An understanding of the aesthetics of clothing, slow fashion, and handmade products is crucial. Collaboration with the brand team to grasp the mood and message of each campaign is expected, along with a willingness to experiment, adapt to fast-paced tasks, and thrive in a startup environment.
