About the Company

IMIL is a Tier-2 automotive component manufacturer engaged in the design, manufacture, and

export of DC motors for Engine Air Management Systems (ETC, EGR, VGT, CCV), Braking

Applications (EPB, PLA, ABS), Body Systems (ToCD) from its plant in Chennai. IMIL supplies to

leading Tier-1 automotive customers in India and global markets.

2. Position Overview : Business Leader Business Development, Sales & Marketing (Automotive)

IMIL seeks a senior professional with strong automotive industry experience to lead its Business

Development, Sales & Marketing function in India. The role involves spearheading customer

engagement, business growth initiatives, and execution of programs from RFQ to SOP, while

formulating long-term business and marketing strategies aligned with the company’s growth roadmap

for domestic customers.

3. Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the Business Development, Sales & Marketing team to achieve annual and

long-term growth targets.

Key Account Management – build and maintain strong relationships with Tier-1 and OEM

customers.

Manage RFQ administration, pricing, and submission of Technical & Commercial proposals.

Drive Program Implementation from RFQ to SOP, coordinating with internal teams for flawless

execution.

Formulate and execute Annual and Long-Term Sales Plans and Marketing Strategies.

Plan and execute strategic business initiatives as per the management’s overall roadmap.

Conduct Market Intelligence activities – industry trend analysis, competitor benchmarking, and

customer profiling to support strategic decisions.

Identify and pursue new business opportunities in domestic market.

Lead customer negotiations, commercial discussions, and contract finalizations.

Organize technical meets and customer presentations to showcase organizational capabilities

and new product developments.

Ensure excellent after-sales support and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.

Present business performance, forecasts, and strategy updates to senior management.

4. Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Automotive preferred).

• MBA in Marketing or Business Management desirable.

• 20+ years of experience in Sales, Business Development, or Program Management in the

automotive components industry.

• Proven experience with Tier-1 suppliers or OEMs in customer handling and program lifecycle

management.

• Strong technical understanding of DC motor applications in automotive systems.

• Expertise in RFQ management, pricing strategy, proposal preparation, and key account

management.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Fluency in English and Hindi is essential; Tamil speaking preferred but not mandatory.

• Well-connected within the automotive ecosystem and capable of building strategic customer

partnerships.
