To enhance our security framework, we are looking for a highly qualified and experienced Vigilance Officer with a military background to oversee and strengthen our campus security operations. Job Summary: The Vigilance Officer at KLH Deemed to be University will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the campus, including students, faculty, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in security, law enforcement, or military service with 6-10 years of experience, particularly in surveillance, risk management, and emergency response. The role requires someone with excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills to manage security operations and handle security breaches or emergencies effectively. Key Responsibilities: 1. Surveillance and Security Management: Oversee and monitor campus security operations, ensuring the safety of students, staff, faculty, and visitors. Develop and implement security protocols, including emergency response plans and campus patrol schedules. Monitor the activities of individuals and groups on campus to detect and prevent any suspicious behavior or security breaches. 2. Incident Management and Investigation: Respond promptly to security incidents, conducting thorough investigations into any breaches or disturbances. Prepare detailed reports on incidents, including findings, conclusions, and corrective actions taken. 3. Policy Enforcement and Compliance: Investigate complaints or reports of misconduct, ensuring disciplinary actions are carried out in accordance with university policies. Organize periodic drills and exercises to maintain readiness for potential emergency situations. Required Qualifications: Education: A minimum of a bachelors degree in security management, criminology, law enforcement, or a related field (or equivalent military training/experience). Military background with 6-10 years of service, preferably in law enforcement, intelligence, or security operations. Experience: At least 6 to 10 years of relevant experience, ideally with prior roles in military or law enforcement agencies, involving surveillance, security operations, or investigations. Proven experience in managing security personnel and emergency response protocols. Strong knowledge of safety and security systems, including surveillance technologies. Skills & Abilities: Exceptional attention to detail, with a sharp eye for identifying security risks. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to train and motivate staff. Ability to conduct thorough investigations, analyze information, and make sound decisions. High level of integrity, ethics, and confidentiality. Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle emergencies effectively. Ability to conduct patrols, monitor security systems, and respond to emergencies as needed. Ability to handle physically demanding situations and potentially confrontational encounters.
