Video Editor

About the Role
Techoftheday is seeking a creative, quick, and detail-oriented Video Editor to join our growing team. You will be responsible for transforming raw footage into engaging video content that reflects our brand voice and supports client objectives. Your work will span platforms including Instagram Reels, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Facebook. The ideal candidate is skilled in storytelling, up to date with platform-specific trends, and able to deliver polished content under tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit and assemble raw footage into professional video content (shorts, reels, ads, explainers, etc.).
• Add transitions, effects, animations, music, subtitles, and motion graphics as required.
• Collaborate with strategists, marketers, and designers to execute creative concepts.
• Optimize video output for multiple platforms: Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Facebook.
• Maintain a structured post-production workflow: file organization, version control, and backups.
• Deliver projects on time while upholding quality standards and brand consistency.
• Keep up with the latest trends in editing, transitions, effects, and social media storytelling.
• Manage editing tools, templates, and digital asset libraries.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of proven experience in video editing (agency or brand background preferred).
• Proficiency in tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar.
• Strong sense of storytelling, pacing, rhythm, and timing.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Familiarity with social media platforms and their specific video requirements.
• Basic knowledge of motion graphics and animation is an advantage.
• A portfolio or reel showcasing edited work is mandatory.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in color grading and sound mixing.
• Knowledge of vertical-first editing for Shorts/Reels.
• Basic design skills using Photoshop, Illustrator, or Canva.
• Experience in editing promotional or educational content.
