Position Overview

Video Editor

Key Responsibilities

Video Editing & Post-Production

  • Edit raw video footage into high-quality, polished content suitable for different platforms.
  • Cut, trim, and assemble clips to create engaging narratives while ensuring logical flow.
  • Perform colour correction, sound balancing, and audio enhancements to deliver professional output.

Creative Enhancement

  • Add titles, subtitles, graphics, animations, and special effects where required.
  • Incorporate background music, sound effects, and voiceovers to elevate the overall impact of the video.
  • Apply branding guidelines consistently across all video projects.

Collaboration & Coordination

  • Work closely with the marketing, design, and content teams to understand project objectives.
  • Translate creative briefs and scripts into engaging video content.
  • Suggest innovative ideas for storytelling, visual styles, and editing techniques.

Content Optimization

  • Adapt video content for various formats such as social media, websites, advertisements, and presentations.
  • Ensure videos are optimized for different platforms (e.g., YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn).
  • Maintain correct aspect ratios, resolutions, and file formats for delivery.

Project & Asset Management

  • Manage multiple editing projects simultaneously and deliver on time.
  • Maintain an organized archive of raw footage, project files, and final deliverables.
  • Ensure data is backed up and securely stored for future use.

Quality & Innovation

  • Review final edits to ensure error-free and professional outputs before delivery.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, editing tools, and creative techniques.
  • Continuously bring fresh, innovative ideas to improve video content quality.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Video Editor or similar role.
  • Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
  • Basic knowledge of motion graphics and animation tools (e.g., After Effects) is an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of visual storytelling, pacing, and transitions.
  • Attention to detail and a good eye for aesthetics.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects at once.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Film Studies, Multimedia, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Knowledge of sound design and colour grading.
  • Experience creating content for digital platforms and social media.
  • Fresher with experience in Video Editing and portfolio may apply for this position.
