Role Overview

As a Video Editor at WorkBuds, you will be responsible for turning raw footage, lectures, and ideas into powerful content. From crisp reels and shorts for Instagram to full-length explainer videos, testimonials, and YouTube content, you’ll help bring our brand and courses to life.

You will work closely with content writers, designers, and marketing teams to develop branded, high-quality video assets across platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit educational and marketing video content for:
• YouTube videos, product explainers, and video lectures
• Instagram reels, YouTube Shorts, and LinkedIn videos
• Student testimonials, mentor interviews, brand campaigns
• Animated graphics, title sequences, and video transitions
• Add motion graphics, sound design, subtitles, overlays, and effects to enhance engagement
• Collaborate on scripting, storyboarding, and creative planning
• Repurpose long-form videos into short, shareable clips
• Maintain a consistent visual style across all videos in line with WorkBuds’ brand
• Manage timelines, feedback, and revisions for fast-paced production cycles

Required Skills & Tools

• Proficient in

  Adobe Premiere Pro

  After Effects

  Final Cut Pro

  , or equivalent
• Strong understanding of

  color grading

  motion graphics

  sound editing

• AI tools like Runway, MidJourney, VEO 3,

• Knowledge of social media formats, resolutions, and engagement-driven editing
• Experience working with educational, startup, or youth-oriented brands
• Ability to manage tight deadlines and multiple projects simultaneously
• Creativity to transform basic raw footage into dynamic stories

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with tools like

  CapCut

  ,

  DaVinci Resolve

  Canva (for visuals)

• Animation or kinetic typography experience
• Experience in shooting video, setting up lighting, or directing shoots
• Understanding of YouTube algorithms and audience retention techniques
