Vice President Operations

Role Purpose

The Vice President Operations will lead and oversee all aspects of contract logistics operations across multiple distribution centers and client sites. This strategic role is responsible for driving operational excellence, customer satisfaction, profitability, and innovation through technology and process optimization.

Key Accountability Area

Operational Leadership

Oversee inbound and outbound logistics, warehousing, and distribution operations across regions. Ensure adherence to SLAs, KPIs, and compliance standards.

Drive P&L accountability and cost optimization across all operational units.

Strategic Planning & Execution

Develop and implement long-term operational strategies aligned with business goals.

Infrastructure & Technology

Plan and execute warehouse infrastructure expansion and upgrades.

Leverage WMS, TMS, and sortation technologies to enhance productivity.

Evaluate and deploy new tech solutions to improve operational visibility and control.

Performance Management

Monitor daily/weekly/monthly scorecards and dashboards.

Analyse operational data to identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.

Define and enforce SOPs across all facilities.

Team & Stakeholder Management

Lead and mentor regional and site-level operations teams.

Build a culture of safety, accountability, and customer-centricity.

Maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders.

Qualification

MBA or advanced degree preferred.

Work Experience

More than 15+ Proven track record of managing large-scale contract logistics operations and experience in building and scaling multi-client warehouse facilities.

Technical Competencies

Expertise in WMS/TMS platforms, automation.

Strong commercial acumen and contract management skills.

Proficiency in data analytics and performance metrics.
