Position: Vice President Operations (NBFC- Lending)

Role Overview:-

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Lead daily operations across all NBFC functions, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and driving operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with CEO/MD on digital transformation, growth, customer experience, and cost optimization initiatives.
  • Develop and execute long-term operational strategies to enhance customer experience and performance.
  • Optimize both physical and digital loan processing systems to reduce time, enhance service quality, and improve operational efficiency.

Digital & Physical Lending Process Management:

  • Oversee the entire loan origination and management lifecycle for both

    digital and physical lending

    (LOS & LMS), ensuring efficient and compliant processes.
  • Drive the adoption of automation and Straight-Through Processing (STP) in

    digital lending

    while maintaining seamless manual processes for

    physical lending

    .
  • Implement end-to-end solutions that integrate both digital and traditional lending channels, ensuring consistency, compliance, and operational excellence across all loan types.
  • Continuously monitor loan processing systems for both digital and physical loans, identify bottlenecks, and implement improvements to enhance speed, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure that physical lending processes, such as document collection, verification, and branch operations, are streamlined and compliant with regulatory standards.

Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management:

  • Ensure all lending operations (digital and physical) comply with relevant regulatory standards (RBI, CIBIL, etc.) and internal policies, with ongoing compliance checks.
  • Develop and implement compliance frameworks for both digital and physical lending channels, ensuring that KYC, CIBIL checks, and other regulatory requirements are met efficiently.
  • Identify operational risks in both digital and physical lending processes and implement mitigation strategies to prevent disruptions.
  • Lead audits and ensure all compliance and operational issues are resolved effectively.

Operational Excellence & Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and the implementation of best practices to improve both digital and physical lending processes.
  • Develop and maintain SOPs for all operational processes, ensuring high standards of consistency, quality, and compliance across all channels.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce manual effort, optimize costs, and enhance service delivery, with a focus on balancing both physical and digital lending models.

Team Leadership and Stakeholder Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations team, ensuring continuous professional growth and fostering a culture of excellence across both physical and digital lending teams.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to ensure that both physical and digital lending operations are aligned with business objectives and timelines.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors, ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met for both digital and physical lending channels.

Data Analytics and Reporting:

  • Conduct extensive primary and secondary research to gather competitive intelligence, market trends, and customer insights to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Oversee the development of strategic reports, including weekly, quarterly, and annual updates for senior management and business leadership teams.
  • Implement data-driven approaches to monitor operational performance, identify inefficiencies, and drive improvements using data analytics tools.
  • Ensure that all loan-related data is consistently accurate, complete, and compliant with internal and external audit requirements.

Technical Skills :

  • Expertise in Loan Origination Systems (LOS) & Loan Management Systems (LMS).
  • Proficiency in MS Office (PowerPoint and Excel) for data analysis, reporting, and presentations.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory compliance requirements in the NBFC sector.
  • Able to design new process flows to drive STP(Straight Through Processing) and manual processes where required complying to the internal / external regulations

Qualification & Experience :

  • Postgraduate in Finance from any recognized university / Institution (CA/ MBA / PGDM/M.COM)
  • Overall 12+ years of experience in NBFC/ Financial Services Industry. Preferably with experience in digital lending
  • 6-7 years of experience in leadership position is preferred
