Job Overview: The Vice President of Manufacturing will lead and oversee all manufacturing operations in our dairy ingredients plant, with a focus on efficiency, quality, and innovation. This strategic role involves managing GM operations and Production, integrating new technologies, and supporting contract manufacturing initiatives for global customers. The VP of Manufacturing will play a critical role in driving operational excellence, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement manufacturing strategies aligned with corporate goals, addressing new technologies and market trends to maintain competitive advantage. Operational Management: Lead manufacturing operations to achieve high levels of efficiency, quality, and safety. Implement best practices to optimize production processes and reduce waste. Technology Integration: Oversee the adoption and integration of new technologies and production lines, ensuring successful trials and scaling of operations. Quality Assurance: Establish and monitor quality control processes to ensure all products meet regulatory and company standards. Capacity Planning: Analyze and forecast production capacity needs based on market demands, ensuring resources are aligned with contract manufacturing opportunities. Financial Oversight: Manage budgets and financial performance, including cost control and margin optimization strategies. Team Development: Recruit, train, and mentor manufacturing staff, promoting a culture of high performance, professional development, and employee engagement. Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with R&D, procurement, and sales to drive innovation and align manufacturing capabilities with customer needs. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks in manufacturing processes, including compliance and operational risks. Sustainability Initiatives: Lead efforts to minimize waste and improve energy efficiency, aligning manufacturing practices with sustainability goals. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Dairy Science , Dairy Engineering, Food Science, or related field; MBA preferred. 20+ years of manufacturing experience in the food or dairy industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Proven track record in operational excellence and process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma). Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance and quality assurance requirements in the food industry. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Strategic mindset with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions. Experience with new technology implementation and contract manufacturing arrangements is a plus.
