Job Description

As a Vice President - Inside Sales at an Enterprise-grade Financial Technology leader based in Chennai, your role will involve leading the global inside sales function. This includes developing and executing the sales strategy, managing a high-performing team, implementing operational processes, and achieving predictable pipeline and revenue outcomes. You should have extensive experience in B2B sales, excel in high-growth settings, and possess the ability to build scalable systems and teams. Key Responsibilities: - Own and lead the global inside sales strategy for mid-market and enterprise segments, focusing on inbound and outbound pipeline generation, qualification, and conversion. - Build, mentor, and scale a team of inside account executives. - Collaborate with Marketing, Product, and Field Sales teams to ensure alignment on campaigns, messaging, lead quality, and hand-off processes. - Implement modern sales tools, workflows, and analytics to enhance efficiency, predictability, and performance. - Define and track key KPIs such as conversion rates, pipeline velocity, and Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC) to optimize the sales funnel continuously. - Lead sales forecasting and pipeline management with precision and accountability. - Develop repeatable sales playbooks, coaching models, and performance frameworks. - Align go-to-market strategies with overall business objectives in partnership with executive leadership. - Foster a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous learning among the team. Qualifications: - 12-15+ years of experience in B2B inside sales, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership role (Director/VP level). - Demonstrated success in scaling inside sales organizations within high-growth or SaaS/product companies. - Profound understanding of modern sales technologies including CRM systems, automation tools, and sales engagement platforms. - Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to managing teams and processes. - Exceptional people leadership and cross-functional collaboration abilities. - Experience in managing distributed/global teams is advantageous. - Bachelor's degree required; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred. Preferred Traits: - Strategic thinker capable of operating at both strategic and tactical levels. - Comfortable working in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment with frequent changes. - A coach and mentor who fosters high-trust, high-output teams. - Deep comprehension of B2B buyer journeys and alignment with demand generation strategies.,
