VFD- Electrical Tester- Ahmedabad (Electronic Testing Background)

Hiring for the role of VFD Tester for a Industrial Equipment Manufacturing (MNC) Company at Ahmedabad.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine VFD tests as per work instructions or SOP.
• Run functional test to set parameters and monitor drive behavior under load.
• Identify wiring issues, loose connections, and performance faults.
• Document test results clearly (paper or PC).
• Measure voltage, current, and frequency using tools.
• Maintain clean and safe test benches.
• Handle multiple units under tight timelines.
• Basic troubleshooting of electrical and communication issues.
• Work in ESD (Electro static discharge) lab and follow related control measures.
• Wear ESD safety gear (jacket, shoes, wrist band).
• Follow electrical safety measure.
• Technically proficient to use computer tools (MS Office, email, data entry, VFD

software).

• Coordinate internally and plan tasks.
• Perform basic troubleshooting in label process and escalate complex issues to the
• technical team.
• Maintain a clean and safe testing lab environment in accordance with 5S standards.
• Ensure complete documentation of lab activities, including SOPs, testing protocols, regulatory compliance, and audit records.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Hands-on experience with Electronics Testing background. Experience in Site visit for testing

Strong understanding of process equipment installation and validation.

VFD operation and wiring.

Basic electrical wiring and troubleshooting.

Using multimeters, meggers, clamp meters.

Basic computer tasks (data entry, Excel, software logging).

Cable glanding, lugging, termination, conduit installation.

Grounding and earthing systems.

ESD standards and control measures.

General Industrial safety standards.

Workshop/factory floor environment with noise and physical work.

Standing, lifting, and handling VFDs.

Shift work or overtime based on workload.

Strict PPE and safety compliance.

Skilled with tools and test gear.

Safety-focused and quality-driven.
