Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Medical Disability Examination Coordination

  • Schedule and track Veterans’ disability examinations per VA guidelines.
  • Review, validate, and process DBQs for accuracy and completeness.
  • Collaborate with physicians, clinical staff, and veterans for smooth exam workflows.

Scheduling & Automation

  • Use automation platforms to streamline scheduling, reminders, and follow-ups.
  • Optimize clinic schedules and resource allocation.
  • Identify opportunities for automation to reduce manual errors.

Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to VA requirements, documentation, and timelines.
  • Maintain HIPAA and VA-compliant medical records.
  • Audit DBQs and exam reports for compliance and accuracy.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as a liaison between Veterans, healthcare providers, and VA representatives.
  • Provide timely updates and resolve scheduling/documentation issues.
  • Support training of staff on DBQ processes, scheduling, and automation tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior VA or disability benefits experience.
  • Knowledge of EHR/EMR systems (VistA, Cerner, etc.).
  • Exposure to RPA or healthcare workflow automation.
  • Ability to collaborate with clinical, IT, and operations teams.
