Job Description: As a Medical Disability Examination Coordinator, your primary responsibility will be to coordinate disability examinations for Veterans following VA guidelines. You will work closely with physicians, clinical staff, and veterans to ensure seamless exam workflows. Utilizing automation platforms, you will optimize clinic schedules and streamline scheduling processes for efficient resource allocation. Key Responsibilities: - Schedule and monitor Veterans disability examinations according to VA guidelines. - Validate and process Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) to ensure accuracy and completeness. - Collaborate with physicians, clinical staff, and veterans to facilitate smooth exam workflows. - Utilize automation platforms to streamline scheduling, send reminders, and automate follow-ups. - Optimize clinic schedules and resource allocation to maximize efficiency. - Identify opportunities for automation to enhance processes and reduce manual errors. - Ensure compliance with VA requirements, documentation standards, and timelines. - Maintain HIPAA and VA-compliant medical records while auditing DBQs and exam reports for accuracy. - Serve as a liaison between Veterans, healthcare providers, and VA representatives. - Provide timely updates and address scheduling/documentation issues promptly. - Support staff training on DBQ processes, scheduling, and automation tools. Qualifications Required: - Preferred prior experience in VA or disability benefits. - Knowledge of Electronic Health Record (EHR) and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems like VistA and Cerner. - Exposure to Robotic Process Automation (RPA) or healthcare workflow automation. - Ability to collaborate effectively with clinical, IT, and operations teams.
