Veterans Medical Scheduling Specialist

As a Medical Disability Examination Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating disability examinations for Veterans in accordance with VA guidelines. You will collaborate with physicians, clinical staff, and veterans to ensure smooth exam workflows. Utilizing automation platforms, you will streamline scheduling processes and optimize clinic schedules for efficient resource allocation. - Schedule and track Veterans disability examinations per VA guidelines. - Review, validate, and process Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) for accuracy and completeness. - Collaborate with physicians, clinical staff, and veterans to facilitate smooth exam workflows. - Use automation platforms to streamline scheduling, send reminders, and automate follow-ups. - Optimize clinic schedules and resource allocation for maximum efficiency. - Identify opportunities for automation to reduce manual errors and improve processes. - Ensure adherence to VA requirements, documentation standards, and timelines. - Maintain HIPAA and VA-compliant medical records while auditing DBQs and exam reports for compliance and accuracy. - Act as a liaison between Veterans, healthcare providers, and VA representatives. - Provide timely updates and resolve scheduling/documentation issues. - Support staff training on DBQ processes, scheduling, and automation tools. Qualifications Required: - Prior experience in VA or disability benefits is preferred. - Knowledge of Electronic Health Record (EHR) and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems such as VistA and Cerner. - Exposure to Robotic Process Automation (RPA) or healthcare workflow automation. - Ability to collaborate effectively with clinical, IT, and operations teams.,
