Key Responsibilities:

  1. Vendor Development:
    1. Identify, evaluate, and onboard new vendors/suppliers for raw materials, components, or services.
    2. Conduct market research to discover reliable and cost-effective suppliers.
    3. Assess vendor capabilities, quality standards, and reliability through site visits, audits, or sample evaluations.
  2. Procurement Management:
    1. Prepare and process purchase orders based on organizational requirements.
    2. Do ZBC, negotiate prices, terms, and conditions with suppliers to achieve cost savings without compromising quality.
    3. Ensure timely delivery of goods and services by coordinating with vendors.
  3. Vendor Relationship Management:
    1. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing vendors to ensure consistent supply and quality.
    2. Resolve issues related to delayed deliveries, defective materials, or pricing disputes.
    3. Monitor vendor performance and maintain vendor scorecards for quality, reliability, and pricing.
  4. Inventory Coordination:
    1. Collaborate with the inventory/store team to monitor stock levels and avoid shortages or overstocking.
    2. Ensure proper documentation of purchase orders, invoices, and delivery receipts.
  5. Cost Optimization:
    1. Analyse market trends and supplier pricing to identify cost-saving opportunities.
    2. Implement strategies to reduce procurement costs while maintaining quality standards.
  6. Compliance and Documentation:
    1. Ensure all procurement activities comply with organizational policies and legal regulations.
    2. Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and vendor agreements.
    3. Verify invoices and coordinate with the accounts team for timely payments to vendors.
  7. Cross-Functional Coordination:
    1. Work closely with production, quality control, and finance teams to align procurement with organizational goals.
    2. Provide inputs for budgeting and forecasting material requirements.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: Diploma / Bachelors degree in Electrical, Mechanical or a related field.
  • Experience: 3-8 years of experience in procurement, vendor management, or supply chain roles.
