Design Engineer

Role Overview:

As a Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the end-to-end design, development, and validation of power cable accessories for medium and high-voltage applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure product excellence, compliance with international standards, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Product Design & Development

• Design and develop power cable accessories (joints, terminations, connectors) in compliance with standards like IEC 60502, IS 13573, IEEE 386.
• Create and review detailed technical drawings, 3D models, and specifications.

• Documentation & BOM Management

• Prepare and maintain Bills of Materials (BOM), purchase specifications, and technical data sheets.
• Ensure version control and traceability of design documents.

• Testing & Validation

• Lead prototyping, lab testing, and field validation of products to ensure performance, reliability, and safety in high-voltage environments.
• Analyze test data and prepare comprehensive reports to support product certification and improvement.

• Research & Innovation

• Conduct research on materials, manufacturing processes, and emerging technologies relevant to cable accessories.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation initiatives.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Coordinate with production, quality assurance, and sales teams to support product development and troubleshooting.
• Provide technical support during installation, testing, and commissioning at customer sites.

• Customer & Sales Support

• Respond to technical queries from customers and sales teams.
• Deliver technical presentations and assist in product demonstrations.
