Job Summary

This role will be to develop new vendor & manage for product requirements. He will also be responsible for cost reduction, quality improvement, and risk reduction via supplier engagement in advanced.

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Drive the sourcing plan for embedded product design, concept design and product offering as solution being standalone or enterprise.

2. Execute the new vendor development & sourcing plan deliverables to ensure project targets are achieved for lead time, technology adaptation, cost, quality and risk.

3. Influence target-based external competitive benchmarks.

4. Assemble and engage suppliers on project BoM requirements.

5. Identify opportunities to improve lead time, product cost, quality and associated risk.

6. Conduct early supplier innovation events to bring suppliers earlier in the product innovation process

7. Influence R&D and capture supplier innovation in the products to optimize the propositions and

achieve the best value for Mantra and its customers Develop innovative solutions to simplify, standardize or platform components or assemblies across the portfolio

8. An engineering professional providing cost reduction, quality improvement, and risk reduction via supplier engagement in advanced development & Solution Development Lifecycle (SDL) projects

9. An engineering professional providing valuable product and supply base insights into the business.

10. Considered to be a key partner in early phase innovation or in the manufacturing phase.

11. Contributes to developing the product and supply base

12. Stimulates significant impact on the sourcing and cost price of a new product and supports total cost improvement discussions.

13. Support rapid cost estimations for new business pursuits and forward model projects,

14. BOM and tooling cost savings Vs Business Baseline.

Required Skills

1. Engineering or Supply Chain related Professional with over 4 years of proven track record

2. Understanding the principles of DfX

3. Understanding the principles of the electronics & mechanical materials/goods flow

4. Able to read and understand blueprints and other engineering documentation

5. Understanding the principles of Executing new product introduction Projects

6. Participates in multi-disciplinary project teams and contributes to developing cost engineering processes

7. Exhibits engineering curiosity and willingness to experiment

8. Broad experience in embedded Solution Design driven R&D, Procurement, Ops or Quality

9. Excellent Program management and commercial negotiation

10. Stakeholder management

11. Experience in new supplier/product development is a must

12. Knowledge on Vendor development /Quality check methodology

13. Excellent communication skills in English (written & verbal)

14. Relationship with suppliers as well as customers Internal and External.

1. Bachelor/Master’s degree in Electronics, Mechanical Engineering with relevant industries
