Job Description
The Vended Application Consultant II successfully delivers product features utilizing vended software, particularly ERP applications, by applying knowledge of the application s functionality and client business processes. The role contributes to the creation of technical designs for their area and configures vendor software under supervision for new or existing enterprise-wide and business-unit applications.
Role Overview
We are looking for a motivated Apigee Engineer with 2 years of hands-on experience in API Gateway management and observability tools . The role involves supporting daily operations, assisting in automation efforts, and ensuring the reliability of our Apigee platform. This position offers exposure to large-scale API environments and opportunities to grow in automation and SRE practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Apigee API Gateway day-to-day operations, including proxy deployment , policy up , and certificate management .
- Assist in building and maintaining Datadog dashboards and itors for API health and performance visibility.
- Troubleshoot incidents under senior engineer guidance and contribute to RCA documentation .
- Contribute to automation scripts and operational playbooks (Python, Shell, or Ansible).
- Work with internal teams to ensure secure and stable API platform operations.
- Maintain and up runbooks , knowledge base articles , and standard operating procedures .
Required Skills & Experience
- Around 2 years of experience supporting or managing Apigee Edge or Hybrid environments.
- Basic understanding of API policies , routing , and authentication mechanisms .
- Familiarity with Datadog (dashboards and alert configurations).Its an Added Advantage
- Working knowledge of Linux and basic scripting (Shell or Python).
- Exposure to automation tools like Ansible is a plus.
- Awareness of incident/change management and ITIL processes.

- Eagerness to learn and improve automation and observability skills.
- Strong problem-solving and collaboration abilities.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to work in on-call rotations under senior guidance.
