VAT Senior - EMEA

As a Senior Process Executive GL Tax (VAT) - EMEA at Fossil Group, your role involves ensuring timely and accurate VAT compliance, supporting indirect tax reporting, and assisting with internal audits. You will play a vital part in identifying and implementing process optimization initiatives while ensuring financial and regulatory compliance across markets. **Key Responsibilities:** - Ensure accurate and timely preparation and filing of VAT and other indirect tax returns for applicable regions. - Maintain up-to-date records of all EMEA VAT-related transactions, ensuring data integrity and audit readiness. - Act as a key contact for VAT-related queries from internal and external stakeholders including auditors. - Provide VAT guidance to internal teams, ensuring alignment with regional regulations and company policies. - Support the automation and standardization of tax processes and documentation. - Assist in GL-related activities including month-end close, account reconciliations, intercompany transactions, and lease accounting. - Identify bottlenecks and areas of improvement across VAT and GL reporting processes. - Ensure adherence to US GAAP, IFRS, and internal controls. - Support internal and statutory audits by providing necessary VAT reports and documentation. - Collaborate with AP, AR, and Reporting teams to support broader R2R objectives. **Qualifications Required:** - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. CA/CPA/ICWA/CS or equivalent certification preferred. - 3-7 years of experience in accounting, GL operations, or tax reporting roles in US MNCs or Big 4 firms. - Strong understanding of indirect taxation (VAT/GST), accounting standards, and financial reconciliations. - Experience working with US GAAP / IFRS and financial systems. - Effective analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to improvements. - Ability to manage deadlines, maintain data accuracy, and handle confidential information. - Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication with cross-functional teams.
