Job Description

An exciting opportunity for Validation & Verification Engineer has arisen to influence and shape the future of the Defence business in India. The roles involve working with business and external stakeholders to support the delivery of key programme milestones thus enabling the delivery of our Defence Combat strategy.


In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that Rolls-Royce has sufficient oversight for our products to meet business, customer and regulatory requirements. You will also be the point of contact within the project to support and coach the team regarding Validation and Verification activities, driving the right V&V behaviours within the project. Your solutions need to be cost-effective, align to project milestones and take into account the full product lifecycle.

What you will be doing:

  • Lead Validation & Verification Engineering across the entire lifecycle.
  • Interface between external and internal customers, to elicit and validate all stakeholder requirements including business, technical customers and partners.
  • Develop product verification strategy, structured verification plan and Product Development Plan.
  • Understand experiment/test requirements and turn them into test schedules and subsequently test instructions.
  • Define plans for Validation & Verification tasks; working with key stakeholders to ensure all work meets customer expectations and is completed to an agreed quality standard.


Who we are looking for:

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering. Other qualifications, in combination with relevant experience, may also be considered.
  • Experience in requirements validation and design verification.
  • Experience in defining experiment / test requirements and instrumentation routing/installation requirements to satisfy verification activities.
  • A broad understanding of Gas Turbine physical and functional characteristics would be advantageous.
  • Highly numerate with strong technical and analytical skills, problem-solving ability and capable of systems level thinking.
  • Excellent communication and inter-personal skills, and will need to be able to contribute effectively in a team environment.
