UX Researcher

As a User Experience Researcher (UXR) at Google, you will play a crucial role in understanding user needs and behaviors to create useful, usable, and delightful products. Your responsibilities will include: - Conducting independent research using various methods such as field studies, interviews, diary studies, participatory workshops, ethnography, surveys, usability testing, and logs analysis. - Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams of UX Designers, Researchers, Writers, Content Strategists, Program Managers, and Engineers to gather insights about user needs, attitudes, emotions, and behaviors. - Having a significant impact on all stages of product development by working closely with stakeholders at all levels and functions. To excel in this role, you should have: - A Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. - 4 years of experience in an applied research setting. - Experience with research design using methods like usability studies, contextual inquiry, surveys, and product research. - Preferred qualifications include a Master's or PhD degree in fields like Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, or Psychology. You will be expected to communicate research findings effectively with cross-functional partners to drive impact and help prioritize research opportunities in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
