We are a team of travel-loving makers, building a cutting-edge flights shopping platform using open-source technologies. Our platform serves customers on desktop, tablet, and mobile devices on Expedia sites and through a variety of partners.

What you will do:

• Design, develop, debug and modify features and services to delight our Flights customers every day.
• Write clean code utilizing object-oriented and functional design principles, data structures and algorithms.
• Contribute to a growing companywide library of web components.
• Create unit, integration and automated acceptance tests to support our continuous integration pipelines.
• Build with quality, performance, scalability, and resiliency as requirements for success.
• Collaborate with user experience designers, product managers, architects and peer engineers across the company.
• Participate in code reviews and advocate for the best coding practices and principles.
• Participate in a community of practice to share and gain knowledge

Who you are:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience required.
• Strong coding skills in JavaScript/Typescript/HTML/CSS, specifically ReactJS or an equivalent framework.
• Must Have Skills: Strong coding proficiency in Javascript & React.Js
• Excellent communicator and can explain technical details and challenges.
• 2+ years of professional software development experience across multiple technologies, languages and frameworks.
• Sense of accountability and commitment to continuous improvement.
• Experience with GraphQL, Java or Kotlin is a huge plus.
• Experience using Git, Jenkins, NodeJS and Docker is desired.
• Experience with Agile development methodology is desired.
• Familiarity with some AWS tools (ECS, EC2, S3, CF) is a plus.
