Job Summary

US Tax Associate

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and assist in reviewing US tax returns including:
• Individual (Form 1040)
• Business returns (Forms 1065, 1120, 1120S)
• Trust & Estate returns (Form 1041)
• Prepare related schedules and forms (W-2, 1099, K-1, depreciation, etc.)
• Perform tax research on US federal and state tax matters
• Analyze financial statements and tax documents to ensure accuracy
• Ensure compliance with US tax laws and filing deadlines
• Coordinate with onshore teams/US clients via email and calls
• Maintain proper documentation and workpapers
• Support tax planning and advisory assignments as required

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 1–4 years of experience in US taxation (experience level can be adjusted)
• Good understanding of US tax concepts and compliance
• Hands-on experience with US tax software (e.g., UltraTax, Lacerte, ProSeries, Drake, CCH Axcess – preferred)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication skills (written and verbal English)
• Proficiency in MS Excel

Preferred Qualifications

• Enrolled Agent (EA) / CPA (US) or pursuing certification
• Experience working with CPA firms or KPO/BPO environments
• Exposure to state and local tax (SALT) filings
