US Tax Associate

Job Title: U.S. Tax Associate (Forms 1065 & 1040)

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Assistant Manager for our U.S. Taxation team. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical expertise in U.S. federal tax compliance, particularly Forms 1065 and 1040, along with proven leadership capabilities in managing and reviewing tax return processes.

Responsibilities:

• Review prepared U.S. tax returns (Forms 1065, 1040, and related schedules) to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with IRS regulations.
• Provide hands-on involvement in preparing complex tax returns as required.
• Manage, mentor, and support a team of tax preparers, ensuring adherence to quality standards and deadlines.
• Conduct technical training sessions and support team members in understanding updated tax laws and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to gather necessary information, clarify requirements, and ensure accurate reporting.
• Monitor changes in U.S. tax laws and ensure the team is aware of regulatory updates.
• Implement process improvements and best practices to enhance productivity and service quality.
• Assist in developing tax strategies aimed at improving compliance efficiency and client satisfaction.
• Review client documentation and ensure confidential handling of sensitive financial information.
• Contribute to workflow planning, workload balancing, and performance evaluation of team members.
• Handle end-to-end taxation requirements for High-Net-Worth Individuals (HNIs), including tax planning, compliance, and reviewing financial documentation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (EA qualification completed or in progress is preferred).
• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in U.S. Taxation, with strong proficiency in Form 1065.
• Prior experience in reviewing and managing tax return preparation teams.
• Proficiency in CCH Axcess is preferred; strong working knowledge of MS Office tools.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify inconsistencies and resolve issues promptly.
• Ability to work effectively under deadlines and handle multiple engagements simultaneously.
• Experience in managing High-Net-Worth Individual (HNI) client portfolios with strong exposure to U.S. taxation practices, compliance, and advisory support.
