US Tax Associate

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare

  US federal and state tax returns

  including:

• Form 1040

  (Individual Returns)

• Form 1065

  (Partnership Returns)

• Form 1120 / 1120S

  (Corporate & S-Corp Returns)
• Perform tax adjustments, book-to-tax reconciliations, depreciation calculations, and Schedule K-1 preparation.
• Assist in tax planning, research, and compliance tasks based on IRS guidelines.
• Review client-provided financial statements, trial balances, and supporting documents.
• Maintain workpapers as per US GAAP and firm standards.
• Communicate with US team members regarding missing information, clarifications, and updates.
• Ensure timely completion of deliverables during tax season.
• Stay updated with changes in US tax regulations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in

  Accounting, Finance, Commerce

  , or related fields.

• Good understanding of US tax laws

  , accounting principles, and IRS guidelines.
• Proficiency in US tax software (any of the following):

• Drake, ProSeries, Lacerte, UltraTax, CCH Axcess

  , or similar.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Good communication skills (written and verbal).
• Ability to work under tight deadlines during tax season.
• Experience of

  0–2 years

  in US taxation preferred (freshers with strong accounting background can apply).

Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have)

• Experience working with US CPA firms or KPOs.
• Knowledge of

  QuickBooks, NetSuite, Xero

  , or other accounting platforms.
• Familiarity with

  Form 5471, 8858, 8938

  , or expat taxation (optional).
