As a Business Development Executive (BDE) - Freight Broker at Wayfarer E-commerce Pvt. Ltd., you will be entrusted with the responsibility of acquiring new customers and overseeing the transportation of goods utilizing the company's resources. Your role will involve engaging in negotiations with carriers to secure competitive pricing for clients, coordinating shipment schedules, tracking the progress of shipments, and promptly addressing any issues that may arise during transit. Key Responsibilities: - Prospect and onboard new customers through cold calling initiatives. - Engage in negotiations with carriers to ensure competitive pricing for clients. - Coordinate and schedule shipments to guarantee the timely delivery of goods. - Monitor and track shipments to ensure adherence to delivery timelines. - Address and resolve any issues that may occur during transit, such as delays or damages. - Provide regular updates to clients regarding the status of their shipments and address any queries or concerns they may have. - Maintain accurate records of all transactions and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations. - Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve organizational goals and objectives. Qualifications: - Demonstrated proficiency in negotiation and communication skills. - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks concurrently. - Knowledge of transportation regulations and industry best practices. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office and transportation management software.
