Role & responsibilities

JD for JL3/4:

Job details:

Min 5 Years of Experience in application development and design using Progress 4GL/Open Edge 10.x, 11.x, 12.x concepts (Application Development Role only)

Mandatory skills:

• Strong knowledge of Application development using Progress 4GL/OpenEdge 10.x, 11.x, 12.x etc. 
• Strong knowledge of Progress Database concepts (indexes, triggers, database schema build and maintenance, application performance tuning etc.)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
• Knowledge of ADM & Web Services 
• Experience in using Progress 4GL debugger
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong technical background, willing to learn new tools and technologies
• Passion for continuous learning and focus on quality

Optional skills:

• Knowledge of the US Life Insurance domain will be an added advantage

• Prior Experience in VPAS application development is a definite advantage

Job details:

7-10 Years of Experience in application development and design using Progress 4GL/Open Edge 10.x, 11.x, 12.x concepts (Development Role)

Mandatory Skills:

• Strong knowledge on Application Design and development.
• Prior experience in technical design documentation, code review and performance optimization techniques using various progress tools like Promon, Profiler, debugger etc.
• Strong knowledge of Progress Database concepts (indexes, triggers, database schema build and maintenance, application performance tuning etc.)
• Exposure to Progress CDC, Pro2, Eclipse/PDSOE, XML parsing etc.
• Experience on team handling and mentoring, taking accountability and ownership of deliverables
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
• Knowledge on ADM, Webservices & AppServers  
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English)
• Strong technical background, willing to learn new tools and technologies

• Experience solely on QAD development/Consulting is not preferred.

Optional skills:

• Knowledge of the US Life Insurance domain will be an added advantage

• Prior Experience in VPAS application development is a definite advantage

• Profiler, Eclipse/PDSOE, Agile, Unit testing using ABLUnit, SonarQube, Continuous Integration, DevOps, Jira, Confluence, Jenkins etc.
