Urgent - CFO / Finance Director

Role Overview

We are seeking an accomplished finance professional with over 10 years of experience across manufacturing, retail, e-commerce, and services. The Finance Controller / CFO will lead the finance function, oversee business planning and strategy, manage compliance, and drive growth through sound financial leadership and operational excellence. The role demands strong business acumen, proven ability to manage teams, and experience in fundraising, ERP implementation, and process transformation.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic & Financial Leadership

• Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis to support business objectives.
  
• Provide commercial decision support, including pricing, financial modelling, and ROI evaluation of new business proposals.
  
• Partner with business heads to align financial strategies with operational goals.
  
• Represent Finance at leadership and board levels, contributing to strategic decision-making.
  

Financial Control & Reporting

• Oversee complete accounting operations (Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Revenue Recognition).
  
• Ensure accuracy and compliance in statutory reporting, audits (IndAS, IFRS), and tax matters.
  
• Develop and enhance internal controls, reporting systems, and compliance frameworks.
  
• Prepare management dashboards, board packs, and financial disclosures.
  

Business Finance & Operations

• Drive profitability through cost management, fund flow optimisation, and contract negotiation.
  
• Manage R2R, P2P, treasury, and risk management functions.
  
• Lead ERP implementation, automation initiatives, and process migration.
  
• Collaborate cross-functionally to support strategic initiatives and operational efficiency.
  

Fundraising & Investor Relations

• Spearhead fundraising efforts, including due diligence and negotiations with PE/VC investors and banks.
  
• Successfully manage equity and debt financing, refinancing, and capital allocation.
  
• Build strong relationships with investors, auditors, regulators, and external consultants.
  

Team Leadership

• Lead, mentor, and develop finance teams across accounting, reporting, audit, and taxation functions.
  
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong leadership with ability to influence at senior levels.
  
• Expertise in FP&A, management reporting, audit, compliance, and taxation.
  
• Proven success in fundraising, due diligence, and investor management.
  
• Hands-on ERP experience (SAP, Oracle, Infor M3).
  
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
  
• Ability to drive digital transformation and process automation.
  

Qualifications

• Chartered Accountant (ACA ICAI)
  
• Company Secretary (CS – ICSI)
  
• Bachelor of Commerce
  

Experience

• 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience.
  
• 5+ years as CFO/Finance Controller across listed, private, and start-up environments.
  
• Successful track record in fundraising process migration, ERP implementation, and managing large finance teams.
