Job Description

Unit Manager - Risk / Senior Unit Manager - Risk
Job Purpose
Risk Management is core to Bajaj Finance. Most decisions in Risk Management are policy based, data driven, and analytical. This position involves managing monthly updates of product policies for BFL business and ensuring maintenance of the policy database on the product program portal. Engage with risk SPOCs and relevant stakeholders to ensure policy document updates and SMT sign-off are completed within timelines. The role also involves cross-functional work in areas such as data reconciliation and financial analysis. Collaborate with the IT team to continuously upgrade the product program portal to improve user experience, and assist in horizontal risk projects. Duties and Responsibilities

Track and ensure policy documents for all BFL businesses are updated monthly.

Ensure the updated policy document is uploaded on the product program portal and sign-off is obtained from all stakeholders across departments, including but not limited to Business, IT, Credit Operations, Underwriting, Collections, Finance, Legal & Compliance.

Undertake additional activities such as data reconciliation and business planning.

Publish monthly reports and dashboards to SMT.

Act as a central contact between risk and IT teams for resolution of issues faced in the usage of the product program portal.

Engage with IT team for implementation of new functionalities to improve user experience for the product program portal.

Conduct discussions, raise user stories, perform UAT, and deliver implementation of new functionalities within TAT in coordination with IT team.

Prepare presentations for SMT reviews.

Coordinate within internal/external teams to close all actionable items.

Participate in any other risk activity as warranted.

Required Qualifications and Experience
Skills and Knowledge

Educational Qualifications: CA/MBA (Finance) / Postgraduate with 1-5 years in Finance/Regulation/Compliance

Work Experience:

Experience in risk assessment/operations function of a lending business

Deep understanding of data, loss calculation, business planning, etc.

4-5 years of overall experience

Experience in handling inter-department projects

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Experience in data analysis and report drafting

Excellent Excel & PowerPoint proficiency, MS Office

Positive attitude and team player

Experience in establishing and maintaining relationships with business units/managers for managing day-to-day business
