Unit Head - Polymer Compounding

The purpose of this job is to manage the operations activity of a polymer compounding unit. The candidate should be well versed in Extrusion Process as well handling the Daily Activities including handling the support functions; with a keen eye on KPIs and Productivity.

Responsibilities:

Production Management

• Develop and implement production strategies to meet production targets and quality standards.
• Monitor daily production operations, ensuring optimal utilization of resources and efficient production processes / adherence to SOP. Continual improvement.
• Continuously improve production efficiency and reduce downtime and wastages.
• Manage the plant budget, control costs, and optimize resource allocation.
• Identify areas for cost reduction and implement cost-saving initiatives.

Quality Control

• Implement quality control measures to maintain product quality and consistency.
• Address and resolve quality issues and customer complaints.
• Adherence to the Quality Systems.

Maintenance, Safety and Facilities

• Oversee plant maintenance and facility management to ensure equipment reliability.
• Ensure that the plant complies with all safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. Develop and maintain safety protocols and procedures.
• Investigate and report any safety incidents or accidents.

Management

• Manage team in efficient and effective ways so that sufficient leaders can be developed for future business requirements.

Supply Chain Management

• Coordinate with the supply chain and logistics teams to ensure the availability of raw materials and timely product distribution.

Qualifications

• Education – Must hold Bachelor in Engineering in Mechanical / Electrical / E&C/Polymer Science/ CIEPET PGD-PPT
• Experience – 10-15 years minimum experience in a medium to large scale polymer compounding plant, last 5 years as heading the operations.
• Skills – Team Building, Resource Utilization, Multi-tasking, Relationship building, Effective Verbal and Written communication.
• CTC: 30-40 lacs pa
• Reporting to: Plant Head
