UK Tax Manager

You will join Apex as an Assistant Tax Manager in the Tax Team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of business tax clients, ensuring compliance with business tax and corporate tax regulations, and preparing relevant tax returns. You will work closely with Tax Directors to provide ad-hoc tax advice, meet client deadlines, manage client expectations, and maintain good client relationships. Additionally, you will assist Team Leaders/Business Unit personnel on tax-related matters and support other team members as needed. Your responsibilities will also include assisting with the billing process, participating in client-related projects, and providing input on client budgets and targets. You will be involved in the training of non-tax personnel and junior team members, helping to develop their skills and knowledge. To succeed in this role, you should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar position and be qualified under CTA, ACA, or ACCA. You should be business and tax risk aware, client service-oriented, and possess excellent client management and people management skills. You should be able to build relationships, communicate effectively across all levels, and positively influence others. Your openness to involve senior management in issue resolution and your ability to disseminate information to increase team awareness will be crucial.
