Manager – Business Services UK

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective processes for the UK accounting and taxation team to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance in financial statements and reports.
  • Oversee the preparation and finalization of year-end accounts for corporate and individual clients.
  • Review and supervise tax planning strategies and the accurate computation and filing of tax returns (Corporation Tax and SATR).
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and half-yearly management accounts to assess clients’ financial positions.
  • Provide periodic training and updates to the team on new laws, rules, and regulations to ensure continuous learning and compliance.
  • Allocate tasks and responsibilities among team members, monitor performance, and ensure targets are met.
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of services aligned with clients’ expectations and organizational standards.
  • Regularly evaluate operational processes and implement improvements for enhanced efficiency and performance.
  • Manage day-to-day operations, workflows, KPIs, P&Ls, and set up new delivery and functional practice areas.
  • Supervise employee activities, offer guidance, and promote a healthy and positive work culture.
  • Actively participate in the recruitment, onboarding, and annual performance review processes of the team.
  • Champion strong client relationships and contribute to building a positive brand image for the organization.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Professional qualifications in Accounting and Taxation (e.g., ACCA, CA, or equivalent preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in UK Corporation Tax, SATR, year-end accounting, and finalization.
  • Proven experience leading teams of up to 30 members in an accounting/taxation services environment.
  • Demonstrated client management skills and ability to deliver high client satisfaction.
