UK Tax Manager

As an Assistant Tax Manager at Apex, your role will involve the following responsibilities: - Responsibility for a portfolio of business tax clients, including: - Ownership of business tax and corporate tax compliance, including preparation of all relevant business tax returns - Ensuring client deadlines are met - Providing ad-hoc tax advice under the supervision of the Tax Directors - Managing client expectations and maintaining good client contact - Being the first point of contact for Team Leaders/Business Unit personnel on tax-related matters - Providing assistance to other team members, particularly during busy times - Involvement in research and implementation of ad-hoc client-related projects - Assisting with the Billing Process - Managing workflows, absences, and other factors affecting client service - Assisting Tax Managers on client-related budgets and targets as part of business planning - First-line on-the-job training of non-tax personnel and more junior tax team members for people development Skills Required: - Minimum of 3 years of work experience in a similar role and ideally qualified under CTA, ACA, or ACCA - Business and tax risk awareness - Client service-oriented - Strong client management skills - Good people management skills, especially in motivating and coaching - Ability to build relationships, communicate effectively at all levels, and across disciplines - Capacity to positively influence at all levels - Openness to involve senior management in issue resolution - Ability to disseminate technical and client-related information to increase awareness among team members What You Will Get In Return: You will have a unique opportunity to be part of an expanding large global business, competitive remuneration based on your skills and experience, as well as access to training and development opportunities.,
