UCM L2 Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled UCM L2 Engineer to support, maintain, and administer Unified Communications & Collaboration (UCM) systems within the organization. The ideal candidate will handle video conferencing, AV systems, email management, O365/Teams administration, and troubleshooting collaboration tools. You will work closely with users, IT teams, and vendors to ensure smooth operations across all communication and multimedia platforms.

Responsibilities

Unified Communications & Collaboration (UCM) Support

• Configure, manage, and maintain UCM systems, including MS Teams and O365.
• Troubleshoot L2-level issues related to voice, video, messaging, and conferencing.
• Administer collaboration platforms such as Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and related tools.
• Manage user accounts, access levels, groups, and distribution lists.
• Support mobile integration for collaboration tools and resolve sync issues.

Video Conferencing Support

• Implement, support, and troubleshoot video conferencing tools (e.g., MS Teams).
• Assist with connectivity, audio/video issues, and meeting setup.
• Integrate conferencing solutions with other collaboration tools.

Audio-Visual (AV) & Multimedia Systems

• Design, install, and maintain AV systems for conference rooms, training halls, and auditoriums.
• Integrate displays, projectors, microphones, speakers, and control systems.
• Support live streaming and webinar setups including technical assistance.

Content & Media Management

• Assist with content creation, video/audio editing, and optimization.
• Maintain content management systems (CMS) for media organization and version control.
• Support digital signage deployment and content scheduling.

Email System Management

• Administer and maintain the organizations email system (e.g., Exchange Online).
• Monitor email server health, performance, and storage.
• Implement email security including spam filtering, anti-virus protection, and compliance checks.
• Troubleshoot email delivery, sync, and connectivity issues.

Network & System Administration for Multimedia

• Ensure network readiness for high-quality audio and video transmission.
• Implement QoS and other network optimizations for multimedia traffic.
• Ensure AV and collaboration systems meet security and compliance requirements.

Backup, Recovery & Security

• Implement backup solutions for collaboration data.
• Maintain recovery procedures and ensure data integrity.
• Enforce authentication, encryption, and access policies for communication systems.

User Interaction & Support

• Provide user training on collaboration tools and AV systems.
• Support onboarding of new employees on UCM platforms.
• Communicate system updates, changes, and best practices to end users.
• Gather user feedback and work on continuous improvement.

Vendor Coordination & Procurement

• Assist in selecting and procuring AV equipment, software, and licenses.
• Ensure compatibility with existing IT infrastructure.
• Coordinate with vendors for support, repairs, and service improvements.

Requirements

• 46 years of experience in Unified Communications, O365/Teams administration, AV support, or related domains.
• Strong experience in MS Teams, O365, SharePoint, Exchange, and collaboration tools.
• Hands-on experience with AV hardware, video conferencing technologies, and digital signage.
• Understanding of network fundamentals, QoS, and multimedia streaming.
• Ability to troubleshoot audio/video, email, and collaboration platform issues.
• Strong communication skills and ability to handle user-facing support.
• Immediate joiners preferred.
