Job Description (JD) for an Electric Vehicle (EV) Bike Mechanic Job Title: Bike Mechanic Job Summary - We are seeking a skilled and motivated EV Bike Mechanic to join our service team. The role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electric two-wheelers (bikes and scooters), including battery systems, motors, controllers, and other electrical/mechanical components. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with EV technology and a strong interest in the future of mobility. Key Responsibilities:- Diagnose and repair electric scooters and bikes, including battery, motor, wiring, and electronic systems. Perform routine servicing, preventive maintenance, and safety checks on EV two-wheelers. Identify and resolve issues related to charging systems, controllers, and sensors. Conduct battery health checks, replacement, and safe handling of lithium-ion batteries. Update and install software/firmware in EV systems (where applicable). Perform test rides and quality checks after repairs and maintenance. Maintain service records and follow company SOPs. Educate customers on proper EV handling, charging, and safety practices. Keep updated with the latest EV technologies and diagnostic tools. Required Skills & Qualifications:- ITI / Diploma in Automobile Engineering, Electrical/Electronics, or EV Technology (preferred). Minimum 1–3 years of experience as a two-wheeler/EV mechanic. Strong knowledge of EV systems (battery, BMS, motor, controller, wiring harness, sensors). Ability to use diagnostic tools and service equipment. Good problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Understanding of safety protocols for handling high-voltage systems.
