Sr. Executive / Jr. Manager in the Tourism Department plays a critical role in promoting tourism destinations, products, and services to potential customers, businesses, and travel agencies. This role often involves a mix of sales, customer relationship management, marketing, and fieldwork to drive tourism-related revenue. Here's a detailed job profile: Job Title: Sr. Executive / Jr. Manager Tourism Department Primary Responsibilities: Target Achievement : Meet sales targets and KPIs set by the department to contribute to the overall revenue goals. Focus on growing market share in specific regions, both domestically and internationally, by targeting high-potential customer segments Sales and Business Development : Actively promote tourism destinations, packages, and services to prospective clients such as travel agents, tour operators, hotels, airlines, and other travel-related businesses. Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve targets related to tourist packages, bookings, and services. Identify new business opportunities and clients, including corporate, leisure, and international clients, through market research and networking. Client Relationship Management : Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, including travel agents, tourism boards, tour operators, and stakeholders in the tourism industry. Conduct regular visits to clients, ensure customer satisfaction, and manage after-sales services. Provide support to clients in resolving any issues or queries related to bookings or services. Promotions and Events : Represent the tourism department at trade shows, conferences, and other promotional events. Organize roadshows, presentations, and promotional activities to showcase tourism products to target markets. Coordinate with marketing teams for promotions, offers, and campaigns that drive tourism. Market Research and Reporting : Gather market intelligence, competitor information, and customer preferences to develop tailored sales pitches and strategies. Provide regular reports on sales progress, competitor activities, market trends, and customer feedback to management. Analyze sales data to track performance against targets and make recommendations for improvements. Training and Collaboration : Work closely with travel agencies, tour operators, and other tourism professionals to keep them informed about new destinations, services, and packages. Conduct training sessions for travel agents and partners about the tourism departments offerings, policies, and procedures. Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing and operations, to ensure seamless delivery of services. On-the-Ground Promotion : Conduct field visits to popular tourism locations and destinations to promote services directly to visitors and local businesses. Assess and suggest improvements to enhance the tourism experience based on first hand feedback from clients and travelers. Key Skills and Qualifications: Educational Background : A bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Tourism, Hospitality, or related fields. Certifications or additional training in tourism and sales management are a plus. Selling skills in B2C category with outbound calling / meeting prospective influencers consumers Experience : Previous experience in sales, field marketing, or the tourism industry is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of tourism destinations, products, and services. Skills : Strong communication and negotiation skills to build relationships with clients. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Good presentation and public speaking skills. In-depth knowledge of the tourism industry, including current trends and competitive landscape. Strong problem-solving and customer service orientation. Passion for Tourism Industry Other Requirements : Ability to travel frequently for field visits and client meetings. A deep understanding of the local culture, history, and tourism attractions. Proficiency in using CRM tools and MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
