Transportation Manager

As a Transportation Manager at Unitex, you will play a crucial role in managing the transportation operations at our state-of-the-art plant in Lawrence, MA. Your responsibilities will include: - Recruiting and training all drivers - Interacting with our full-service leasing company to ensure proper maintenance of all vehicles - Managing work performance and results of all drivers - Setting effective schedules to operate within budget - Prioritizing work effectively and setting high expectations and goals - Taking responsibility for achieving performance results and following through to completion of work projects - Ensuring that employees follow Unitex policies and procedures - Managing and coordinating all company safety procedures - Building effective customer relationships and resolving issues in a timely manner To excel in this role, you will need to meet the following requirements: - 5+ years of successful transportation management experience with proven results - CDL License Mandatory - Experience supervising a team in a fast-paced, time-sensitive setting - Complete knowledge of DOT requirements - Independent thinker and decision maker that requires minimal supervision - Strong Microsoft Word and Excel and basic PC skills Unitex, a family-run business with over 100 years of experience in the medical uniform and linen rental industry, is dedicated to providing the best care to healthcare professionals and patients.
