Job Description

A Healthcare Training Leader is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and optimization of training programs for employees. The primary focus is on ensuring that the workforce is well-equipped to handle the specific needs of healthcare clients across various areas such as Clinical, Provider Appeals, coding, customer support, and claims processing. Key Responsibilities: - Developing and delivering comprehensive training programs for both new hires and existing employees, emphasizing healthcare industry knowledge and compliance with regulations such as HIPAA. - Collaborating with clients to design customized training programs that align with their specific needs and systems. - Ensuring all training programs comply with healthcare regulations and implementing data security and privacy protocols. - Monitoring the effectiveness of training programs through assessments and feedback, utilizing performance metrics to assess knowledge retention. - Leading and mentoring a team of trainers, fostering a continuous learning environment within the training department. - Working closely with other departments to align training with business goals and client satisfaction targets. - Utilizing learning management systems and e-learning tools to enhance the learning experience. Educational and Professional Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in healthcare management, business, or a related field. Additional certifications in training or instructional design are advantageous. - Extensive experience in the healthcare BPO industry, particularly in training, quality assurance, or operations. - Certifications like Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) or similar qualifications are beneficial. Healthcare Academy: Healthcare Academy provides courses, certifications, and assessments to efficiently train employees. Examples include Moodle, TalentLMS, and Blackboard. Simulations and Virtual Labs: These tools replicate real-world scenarios to provide hands-on experience in areas such as patient interactions, medical coding, and health insurance processing. Examples include VSim for Nursing and HealthStream. E-learning Modules and Webinars: Online resources designed to teach specific topics relevant to healthcare BPO employees, such as compliance, medical terminology, billing and coding, or customer service. Examples include MedLearn Media, Coursera, and Udemy. Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) Tools: Tools that automate routine tasks and improve accuracy in areas like medical coding, billing, and claims processing. Examples include TruCode, Cerner, and Optum. Gamification Tools: Engage healthcare BPO employees by turning training tasks into interactive games to reinforce knowledge on topics like medical billing, coding, and HIPAA compliance.
