Role Purpose

The Head - Training Delivery - Data Center will spearhead the design, development, and delivery of technical training programs tailored to the needs of the data center domain. This role is pivotal in ensuring that the workforce is equipped with cutting-edge skills and knowledge to support the Adani Skills & Education Foundations mission of fostering sustainable development and societal progress. By aligning training initiatives with the latest industry standards and the organization’s commitment to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs), this role will drive excellence in technical education and capacity building.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive technical training programs for data center operations, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and emerging technologies.
  • Collaborate with industry experts, academic institutions, and internal stakeholders to design curriculum that addresses current and future skill requirements.
  • Lead the deployment of innovative training methodologies, including digital platforms, simulations, and hands-on workshops, to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through measurable KPIs, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Build and manage a team of technical trainers, providing mentorship and fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
  • Establish partnerships with technology providers and industry leaders to integrate the latest tools and systems into training modules.
  • Align training initiatives with the Adani Skills & Education Foundation’s focus on sustainable development, ensuring inclusivity and equal access to learning opportunities.
  • Drive strategic initiatives to position the organization as a leader in technical education for the data center industry.
  • Ensure seamless coordination with the Pro Vc and other senior leaders to align training delivery with broader organizational objectives.
  • Stay abreast of advancements in data center technologies and incorporate relevant updates into training programs.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven experience of 15+ years in technical training delivery, with a focus on data center operations or related fields.
  • Demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing large-scale training programs in collaboration with industry and academic partners.
  • Strong track record of leveraging digital tools and platforms for training delivery and assessment.

Educational Background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Master’s degree or equivalent specialization in Education, Training, or Technical Management is preferred.

Years & Type of Experience

  • 15+ years of experience in technical training, with a significant portion dedicated to data center operations or IT infrastructure.
  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing large-scale training initiatives.

Domain Expertise

  • In-depth knowledge of data center technologies, including server management, networking, and cloud computing.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and certifications such as Uptime Institute Tier Standards, ISO 27001, and ITIL.
  • Expertise in sustainable practices and energy-efficient technologies within the data center domain.

Digital & Operational Tools

  • Proficiency in Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning platforms.
  • Experience with simulation tools and virtual labs for technical training.
  • Familiarity with analytics tools to measure training effectiveness and learner progress.

Leadership Capabilities

  • Strategic vision to align training initiatives with organizational goals and industry trends.
  • Proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience in collaborating with senior leaders and external partners.
  • Demonstrated success in driving measurable outcomes through training programs, such as improved workforce productivity and skill enhancement.
