Background of The Hans Foundation
The Hans Foundation (THF), established in 2009, is a Public Charitable Trust that works towards creating an equitable society to enhance quality of life for all through the empowerment of marginalized and underprivileged communities in India. The Hans Foundation works for the Health and Wellbeing of remote and under-served groups, with an additional focus on children, persons with disabilities and women. THF also works for holistic Education and Livelihood development of our communities. Our Two-Fold Strategy involves identifying and working within Aspirational Districts and high poverty index in the North, North-East and East regions within specific states, as well as catering to lower-income and migratory populations in cities, through urban programs.
Over its 15 years of existence, THF has reached more than 35 million beneficiaries through its programs. THF works with communities through direct implementation of projects on the ground in addition to providing local management and monitoring support to not-for-profit organisations in India funded through THF USA and RIST.

THF - Skiil Centre has been conceptualized with a focus on Empowering and training underprivileged youth in various technical skills and to make them ready for jobs/self-employment.
The initiative aim to its ambitious program of 20 Swasthya cities for providing doorsteps services to urban based EWS population in metros and mini metros in the thematic areas of Health, Education, Skilling and Disability for holistic development and creating equitable society.Skilling of urban youth is extremely essential element of developing healthy and prosperous society. THF as a part of its endeavour in contributing towards nation building has taken up progressive initiative in training youth in multi skilling covering Pan India with focus on 20 Swasthya Cities.
Job Description Trainer (RACW)
Position: Trainer RACW (RO, Air Conditioner & Washing Machine)
Location: Khoda, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh
Department: Programme Operations / Livelihood
Reporting To: Centre Coordinator / Senior Coordinator
Job Brief
Deliver Spoken English, Soft Skills, IT Skills, and RACW (RO, Air Conditioner & Washing Machine) training that empowers youth to take up employment or pursue further education. Work with youth to identify their livelihood goals either employment or higher studies and support them in achieving these through The Hans Foundation Livelihood Skills Training Programme. Mobilize, counsel, and create training pathways for each trainee, IT, Soft Skills, and RACW vocational training to help youth realize their career goals.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct both practical and theoretical sessions on RO, Air Conditioner, and Washing Machine repair as per the prescribed curriculum.
Demonstrate installation, servicing, and troubleshooting techniques for various models.
Ensure safety protocols and tool discipline in the training lab.
Deliver structured induction programmes for new batches.
Take responsibility for all training activities under The Hans Foundation s Livelihood Programme.
Deliver standardized training content, adapting it to the local context while maintaining quality outcomes.
Meet training targets and ensure youth receive consistent, high-quality learning
experiences.
Collaborate with the Centre Coordinator to plan and monitor the training schedule.
Apply interactive and engaging training techniques to make sessions effective and
enjoyable.
Conduct needs assessments with youth to identify strengths and training requirements.
Assist in preparing Personal Development Plans (PDPs) and track their progress.
Support youth in achieving PDP goals in collaboration with Placement and Partnership Officers.
Lead and guide the mentor-matching process and mentor engagement.
Maintain youth attendance, conduct mid-programme reviews, and reduce dropouts
proactively.
Motivate and counsel youth to ensure regular participation and goal achievement.
Contribute to community mobilization and fair participant selection.
Prepare and maintain training data and reports as per programme standards.
Act as a role model by demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and motivation.
Desired Competencies
Strong rapport-building skills with youth; ability to motivate and inspire.
Excellent communication and facilitation skills in Hindi and English.
Team-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
Problem-solving attitude and flexibility to work evenings/weekends if required.
Capable of conducting comprehensive needs assessments and maintaining
documentation.
Skilled in data collection, reporting, and programme monitoring.
Qualifications & Experience
Diploma / ITI / Certification in RACW (Refrigeration, Air Conditioning & Washing Machines) or a related trade from a government-approved institute, or from a reputed private training institute.
Minimum 5 years of experience in the appliance or electrical service industry.
Technical Skills: Expertise in wiring, installation, maintenance, and servicing of RO
systems, washing machines, and AC units.
Minimum 1 year of experience training or working with youth (18 32 years).
Experience delivering Spoken English, Soft Skills, IT Skills, and RACW training.
Proven ability to plan, design, and evaluate training sessions.
Experience supporting youth in employment or education pathways.
Basic computer literacy and English-speaking skills required.
Experience with mentorship, career guidance, and youth counselling (preferred).
