Tools Designer

As a Senior Tool Designer in Precision Engineering & NPD at our company, your role will involve leading the design and development of precision tooling and injection molds for complex engineering components. Your expertise in injection mold design and tooling for high-precision components, proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, CATIA, Siemens NX, or equivalent, and experience with mold flow simulation tools like Moldex3D, Autodesk Moldflow, or similar will be crucial in this position. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design and develop precision tooling and injection molds for complex engineering components. - Utilize CAD software such as SolidWorks, CATIA, Siemens NX, or equivalent for mold design. - Conduct mold flow simulations using tools like Moldex3D, Autodesk Moldflow, or similar. - Ensure an understanding of polymer behavior, mold materials, and machining processes. - Apply knowledge of GD&T, tolerancing, and dimensional control in tool design. - Demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally. - Implement thermal expansion and distortion, fatigue and cracking, and dimensional accuracy control techniques. - Utilize direct and indirect hot stamping methods and familiarity with segmented tooling for multi-phase forming. **Qualifications Required:** - Minimum 8 years of experience in tool design and new product development. - Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, CATIA, Siemens NX, or equivalent. - Experience with mold flow simulation tools like Moldex3D, Autodesk Moldflow, or similar. - Strong understanding of polymer behavior, mold materials, and machining processes. - Knowledge of GD&T, tolerancing, and dimensional control. - Excellent problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration skills. - Experience with direct and indirect hot stamping methods. - Familiarity with segmented tooling for multi-phase forming.
