Job Title: Production Technology Expert Petrochemical Industry Location: Chennai Experience: 15+ Years in Petrochemical Process Optimization Industry: Petrochemicals / Refining / Polymers Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Production Technology Expert to optimize manufacturing processes, drive operational excellence, and implement innovative technologies in our petrochemical facilities. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cracking, polymerization, catalysis, and downstream processing , with a focus on improving yield, energy efficiency, and product quality while ensuring HSE compliance. Key Responsibilities 1. Process Optimization & Troubleshooting Analyze and optimize steam cracking, catalytic reforming, polymerization, and distillation processes to maximize yield and minimize downtime. Troubleshoot production issues (e.g., catalyst deactivation, fouling, reactor inefficiencies) and implement corrective actions. Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for chronic process deviations and quality defects. 2. Technology Implementation & Innovation Lead the adoption of advanced process control (APC), digital twins, and AI-driven predictive maintenance to enhance operational efficiency. Evaluate and implement new catalysts, reactor designs, and separation technologies to improve product performance and cost efficiency. Collaborate with R&D to scale up new petrochemical processes (e.g., bio-based feedstocks, chemical recycling). 3. Production Efficiency & Cost Management Develop energy and mass balance models to identify optimization opportunities (e.g., heat integration, waste reduction). Monitor KPIs (e.g., OEE, conversion rates, utility consumption) and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Support CAPEX projects for plant debottlenecking and capacity expansion. 4. Safety, Compliance & Sustainability Ensure compliance with OSHA, PSM (Process Safety Management), and environmental regulations (e.g., EPA, REACH).
