Hands-on experience with commercial/open-source CFD software such as FLUENT, Polyflow, Ansys-Thermal, OpenFOAM, COMSOL, SpaceClaim, ANSYS Meshing, MATLAB, and Tecplot. Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, Unix, Shell, and Python. Strong analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills. Ability to break down complex real-world problems into solvable modeling objectives. Versatility in adapting to various technology areas with a balanced technical depth and breadth. Self-motivated with a long-term interest in technical growth. Desired Skills: Familiarity with polymer processing, viscoelastic flow, or injection molding modeling. Proficiency in OpenFOAM and commercial tools like MoldFlow or Moldex3D. Exposure to AI, ML, and Data Analytics techniques as applied to modeling, simulation, or materials science. Familiarity with statistical methods, machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch), or data visualization tools. Experience working in an industrial R&D environment. Knowledge of data-driven modeling, optimization, or predictive analytics. Ability to integrate physics-based models with data-driven approaches to enhance predictive capabilities. Soft Skills: Highly collaborative, fostering open engagement with colleagues to achieve project goals. Strong technical curiosity with a desire to continually learn and grow in diverse technology areas. Ability to translate complex technical concepts into simplified explanations for broader audiences. Education and Experience: PhD, Master's, or Dual Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Fluid and Thermal), Aerospace Engineering, or Chemical Engineering with a strong emphasis on heat and mass transfer, fluid flow, and CFD. Graduates from IITs, IISc, or other reputed institutions (including leading foreign universities) are preferred. Candidates with 4+ years of relevant experience post-Masters/Dual Degree or 2+ years of relevant experience post-PhD are encouraged to apply. Functional Competencies: Proven experience as a Mould Designer proficient in Injection mould design for single and multicavity HRS and Non-HRS moulds for Engineering Plastics. Experience in compression moulding will be added advantage. Proficiency in CREO and CAE software for Moulds Knowledge of Short Cycle time Mould design will be added advantage. In-depth knowledge of Moulding machines, moulded part production processes and experience with thermoplastic. Experience with thermoset plastics will be added advantage.
