Thumbnail Designer

What is this role, really?

• At GrowthX, the Creative Studio is working to build a media house. We deeply believe in the role of content to build an audience, and are suckers for the nuances of delivering it.
  
• We’re looking for a creative and experienced Graphic Designer that is familiar with the YouTube space.
  
• As a thumbnail designer you will be responsible for developing concepts, compositing and designing out those concepts. A strong understanding of photoshop and photo manipulation will help you to succeed in this position.
  
• This role is responsible for making thumbnails for our various social channels. Most importantly, we need someone who is a team player and always striving to improve.
  
• Our business is thriving, our customer base continues to grow, and we believe the impact of this role will fuel our company to grow in unprecedented ways. As our visual designer, you’ll give life and shape to how the world perceives GrowthX on the outside.
  

What you’ll be doing?

• Own CTR (click through rate) as a metric especially across YouTube, Newsletters and Blogs.
  
• Work closely with the creative strategists & editors from pre-production → post-production on the packaging needed for our videos.
  
• Research and stay updated with current design trends and how are competitors are positioning their products.
  
• Create variants and A/B test to understand which thumbnail style creates the highest impact.
  
• Concept new and original ideas.
  
• Generate realistic/eye catching thumbnails using photoshop and photo manipulation skills.
