Role Overview We are seeking a Thermal Product Design Engineer who will lead the design and development of our high-temperature thermal battery systems. You’ll work on core components from concept to prototype to deployment, focusing on thermal behavior, mechanical integrity, manufacturability, and safety. Key Responsibilities Design high-temperature thermal battery components and systems (≥1000°C operating range) Perform thermal, structural, and fluid-flow simulations (e.g., using ANSYS, COMSOL, or similar tools) Collaborate with materials engineers, process engineers, and manufacturing partners Translate product requirements into detailed CAD models and technical drawings Develop and validate thermal prototypes; support pilot deployments at customer sites Contribute to IP development, testing protocols, and reliability assessments Ideal Background B.E./M.E. in Mechanical, Thermal, or Energy Engineering (or related field) 5+ years in product design involving high-temperature systems, thermal insulation, or heat transfer devices Proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks etc.) and FEA/CFD tools Experience with thermal storage, furnaces, kilns, or industrial heat systems a strong plus Understanding of DFM principles and working with vendors/manufacturers Passion for climate tech and working in a high-growth startup environment What We Offer Be part of a mission-driven team building breakthrough climate tech Opportunity to design and deploy real-world industrial solutions Fast-paced, intellectually driven environment with ownership from Day 1 Competitive salary, equity options, and career growth To Apply Send your resume, portfolio and a short note on why this excites you to [careers@voltanova.com].
