As the Theater Manager at our company based in Hassan, Karnataka, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the theater. Your strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills will be essential in creating a welcoming environment for all stakeholders. **Key Responsibilities:** - **Operational Management:** - Oversee the daily operations of the theater to ensure seamless execution of events. - Coordinate with technical and production teams for equipment setups before events. - Supervise box office operations, including ticket sales, staffing, and inventory management. - Maintain cleanliness, upkeep, and compliance with safety regulations at the venue. - Coordinate with external vendors and service providers as required. - **Staff Management:** - Recruit, train, and supervise front-of-house and technical staff. - Develop staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage for events. - Foster a positive and collaborative team environment. - Evaluate staff performance, offer feedback, and provide necessary training. - **Customer Service:** - Resolve customer issues or complaints promptly to ensure high satisfaction levels. - Manage the guest experience from ticket purchase to event attendance. - Accommodate VIP or special guests and meet their needs effectively. - **Budgeting and Financial Management:** - Assist in creating and managing the theater's annual budget. - Monitor expenses to stay within the allocated budget. - Oversee revenue generation through ticket sales, concessions, and rentals. - Report financial performance and recommend improvements when necessary. - **Event Coordination:** - Collaborate with producers, directors, and artists to schedule performances and rehearsals. - Ensure smooth logistics coordination for events from set-up to post-event breakdown. - Handle ticketing, marketing, and promotions in alignment with the marketing department. - **Marketing and Audience Engagement:** - Create promotional strategies with marketing teams for upcoming shows. - Develop audience engagement and retention strategies. - Drive community involvement and outreach programs. - **Compliance and Safety:** - Ensure adherence to all relevant laws, fire codes, health and safety regulations, and accessibility standards. - Conduct regular safety audits and manage emergency preparedness plans. **Qualifications:** - Bachelor's degree in Arts Administration, Theater Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred). - 3+ years of proven experience in theater or venue management. - Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills. - Knowledge of theater operations, budget management, and customer service. - Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. **Skills:** - Leadership and team management. - Problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities. - Organizational and time management skills. - Proficiency in office and ticketing software. - Knowledge of marketing and audience development strategies.
