Textile Designer

As a Textile Designer, your main responsibilities will include researching and analyzing trends in fashion, art, and design to stay up-to-date with the latest styles and techniques. You will be creating designs and patterns for fabrics and textiles using traditional hand-drawing techniques, as well as digital design software. This will involve selecting appropriate materials, colors, and patterns for each design and testing and refining designs to ensure that they are suitable for mass production, making modifications as necessary. Additionally, you will be tasked with making designs of rugs and carpets and communicating with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure that designs are produced to the required quality standards. It will be important to maintain up-to-date knowledge of new materials, production techniques, and industry trends. To qualify for this position, you should hold a Bachelors degree in textile designing from NIFT and have at least 2+ years of experience. An interest in designing Carpets & Rugs is essential, along with strong artistic and creative skills. You should have knowledge of textiles and materials, as well as proficiency in traditional hand-drawing techniques and digital design software. Strong communication and collaboration skills are a must, with the ability to work well as part of a team. Time management and organizational skills will be necessary, with the ability to work to tight deadlines. Flexibility and adaptability are also key, with the ability to respond to changing production requirements and design briefs.,
