Textile Designer

Responsibilities

• Researching and analyzing trends in fashion, art, and design to stay up-to-date with the latest styles and techniques.
• Creating designs and patterns for fabrics and textiles using traditional hand-drawing techniques, as well as digital design software.
• Selecting appropriate materials, colors, and patterns for each design
• Testing and refining designs to ensure that they are suitable for mass production, and making modifications as necessary.
• Making designs of rugs and carpets.
• Communicating with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure that designs are produced to the required quality standards.
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of new materials, production techniques, and industry trends.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in textile designing from NIFT.
• 2+ years of experience.
• Should have interest in designing Carpets & Rugs.
• Strong artistic and creative skills.
• Knowledge of textiles and materials.
• Proficiency in traditional hand-drawing techniques, as well as digital design software.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work well as part of a team.
• Time management and organizational skills, with the ability to work to tight deadlines.
• Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to respond to changing production requirements and design briefs.
