Testing Lead ( Wordpress Exp must)

About the Role

We are looking for a Testing Lead to take ownership of the quality assurance process across a large-scale WordPress multisite platform that powers learning, corporate memberships, webinars, e-commerce, directories, and user-role–based gated experiences.

You will lead manual testing, automation strategy, test documentation, QA cycles, and release validation across multiple subsites and custom-built plugins/themes.

Key Responsibilities1. QA Planning & Leadership

• Own end-to-end QA for the entire WordPress multisite ecosystem.
• Define testing strategy, scope, and timelines for each sprint/release.
• Coordinate with developers, product managers, and designers to ensure quality at every stage.
• Drive defect triage, prioritization, and resolution workflows.

2. Manual Testing

• Perform detailed manual testing of:
• WordPress multisite flows
• WooCommerce products, orders, memberships
• Paid Memberships Pro gated access
• LifterLMS courses & certificates
• BuddyPress groups & profiles
• Custom themes, layouts, shortcodes & templates
• Role-based content gating (student/pro/instructor/corporate)
• Custom AJAX actions, custom REST API integrations
• Cross-browser and responsive testing
• Validate integrations with:
• Stripe / Razorpay / PayPal
• Email platforms (FluentCRM)
• Custom REST API connectors
• CI/CD deployments

3. Automation Testing

• Build and maintain automated UI test suites using tools such as:
• Playwright / Cypress / Selenium / Puppeteer
• Create automated regression tests for:
• User journeys across subsites
• Checkout flows
• Login/registration
• Directory search & filters
• Custom plugin logic
• Integrate automation scripts with CI/CD (GitHub Actions).

4. Test Documentation

• Create and maintain:
• Detailed test cases
• Test scenarios
• Regression test suite
• Release validation checklists
• Bug reports and RCA documentation
• Maintain test artifacts in Git repositories.

5. Performance & Security Testing (Good to Have)

• Perform load testing of heavy WooCommerce and directory endpoints.
• Run basic WordPress security scan checks and validate hardening steps.

Required Skills

• 4–7+ years of software QA experience with at least 2+ years leading QA cycles.
• Strong understanding of WordPress, especially:
• Multisite
• WooCommerce
• LifterLMS / PMPro
• BuddyPress
• Custom theme & plugin development
• Strong ability to write detailed test cases and test scenarios.
• Experience with test automation frameworks (Cypress/Playwright/Selenium).
• Familiarity with REST APIs, inspecting responses, Postman, Swagger.
• Understanding of Git workflows and branch-based CI/CD (GitHub Actions).
• Ability to troubleshoot UI/UX issues, JS console errors, PHP logs.
• Experience testing responsive layouts and cross-browser compatibility.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience testing multilingual platforms.
• Knowledge of SQL and basic DB validation.
• Experience with performance test tools (JMeter, Locust).
• Exposure to UX testing + accessibility standards.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month

Expected hours: 10 – 40 per week
